The P5B is nothing special, the DS3 is better than that board. However, the P5B-E is an improved and upgraded version that is as good a motherboard for overclocking as any other on the planet. This motherboard goes up against $250+ motherboards out there.

You'll see more votes for the DS3 on that thread, but that's only because more people on here own the DS3. The P5B-E is just a tad bit better than the DS3 though. These two motherboards make up the sweet spot for C2D motherboards.
