Need Help with Video Card and Hard Drive....

what do you mean the OS on a different HDD? just make 2 or 3 partitions on that drive, and have the OS installed on one of them

nice build for a media mixer... ;)

I like the opty. The extra cache is going to help out with encoding and things of that nature, but you're not paying a lot more for the name. The nature of the work may do better with the cache, and not paying for a higher clocked athlon.

A 7300GS might be a good option for a video card. It has the option of running games, even though it won't be a powerhouse. It has all of the features of the 7 series, minus power.

7600GT would give the guy more than enough Leeway in games. This is something better than the best 6800GS, better than anything GeForce 6 put out.

EDIT: OMG! Sound Card, totally forgot about that, haha. He's a sound guy, so he'll need a Soundcard. Crazy_Gamer, get back with what you want to do. If he needs a Soundcard, the X-Fi XtremeMusic has to be it.
