Minimum setup to get the most out of 2 x GTX 260's.

mobo: 750i, 780i, 790i, x58

mem: DDR2 800, DDR2 1066, DDR3 1333, DDR3 1600

cpu: E8400, Q9550, I7940

What do you think?

an i7 would give you the best performance, but if you oc an e8x00 you'll be fine. and if you plan on tri-sli then get the 780i, if not a 750i will be fine. also get the evga 750i-FTW edition.

the 790i is a bit silly because it runs ddr3 in dual channel rather than tri channel which gives it better performance. so either get ddr2 and 750i ftw/78iftw or ddr3 x58

x58 all the way. I just got my chip/board/memory for right around 700 bucks

oh and the best board, is gigabyte x58 UD5!
