I am almost done with my build, just have to attatch (maybe) one more power cord into my mobo. Heres my Issue.
I have an MSI Diamond Plus and an (1x)eVGA 7800gt
My mobo has a 4 pin connector (Labeld JPWR3) that is used to provide power to the installed PCIe gfx card. The 7800 also has a 4 pin connector on the back of it (on gfx, its a 2x2, on mobo its a 4x1). I am only using one card, although the system can support two. My question: Do both the motherboard plug and gfx card plug need to be filled? I have looked in my mobo, gfx card, and psu manuals and see nothing telling me to plug one or both in, and I really dont want to rish frying somthing.
