So, maybe some of you read my topic in the help forum about having good fps and bad performence in bf2. I decided that this might be a result of having only 1 Gb of ram (DDR 333 at that) and I have decided to upgrade to 2gb. The prob? Very limited budget after recently upgrading to a eVGA 7800 GT. Here are my specs:
Athlon 64 3500+
eVGA 7800 GT
1GB DDR333 Ram (Like crucial value ram I think.... was on a tight budget back then too.)
Sound Blaster Audigy 2 ZS Gamer
Alright, so, right now I have 2 512mb sticks on dual channel and I have 2 slots open. Question is, what can I get for 105~ to get me to 2GBs without sacrificing too much performance. Also, correct me if Im wrong but it is possible for me to use ddr333 in two slots and then ddr400 on the other two? I found some cheap deals so if you guys could look them over and tell me which ones are crap:
Cheap ram, 29.99 for 512mb, looks bad though
Cheap bundle for a gig, reviews seem positive (59.99 for a gig)
OCZ, i see many ppl use it but its pricy at 115$
2GB of gaming ram for 150$ O_O would move me to all ddr400
