What's better in the 1 GB Sticks, 4-4-4-12 or 5-5-5-10?

how bout u dont get a 1 gb stick, and get 2x1GB sticks or 2x512MB sticks that you can use for Dual channel. and uh...thats both pretty bad timings, if ur gonna by new ram, you cant use the old one. also for the new ones somewhere areound 2-2-3-3 something like that is average, i forget exactly.

I'm going to get 2 x 1 GB sticks for dual-channel and was expecting to find much lower timings but that's all I saw at newegg. Maye I should look again.

I should also mention that was for DDR2-800 (PC 6400). Hence the higher timings right?

you dont need the ones that are marked dual channel as long as they are the exact same kind.. also the speed does change the timings alot!!
