Hi,

I have the EVGA nforce 750i Motherboard.

The Standerd memory on it is DDR2 1066MHz

So would you recomend getting 1066MHz memory or 800Mhz?

And what is the best gaming memory i can get? (either 800 or 1066)

Thanks in advance for your help.

usually 1066mhz as alittle more overclocking headroom. Most people will buy 800 kits and overclock them. Theres alot of good ram out there. Just make sure whatever you get, that its Micron d9's. Look around

Lol, from my experience, just get 1066 either overclocked or not, they cost that same and 1066 is better.

yes 800 would be better then good. ^^you obviously don't have much experience, with 1066 because if you did you would know that almost all 1066 kits up the timmings, so if he's not ocing then they would not perform as well as an 800kit.

^did you not read my post? All those kits you posted have high timings (lower is better) and would perform less then 800mhz kits with timings of
4-4-4-12. SO AGAIN...get an 800mhz kit with timings of 4-4-4-12 (mushkin would be a good choice as you are not ocing)

did u not read his post he ask if there was any 1066 around the price of the ram he linked

a lot of ddr2 800 kits will hit 1066 with 4-4-4-12 or lower, my ram does.
-but- a lot of 1066 kits will hit 1200+ with 5-5-5-15, my ram wont.

if you are planning on going over 525-550 fsb (i dont know what that mobo is capable of) with a 1:1 ratio the 1066 will be better.
as luke said...if you are not going to oc or oc to 450-500 the 800 will probably be fine. you can almost always raise the timings to 5-5-5-15 on ddr2 800 and get that speed, unless you get some lemons.
