...but is the sound full HD? I don't think it is. Auzentech are the only manufacturers developing such a thing and it won't be releasd until some time in January.

Anyway...this thread is getting a bit off topic from OP. I'm just curious if he is going HD because I want a lab rat...HAHA...j/k.

I havn't used it yet. but my soundcard has optical out. so I would probally just use that. But I think it does do it.

also if you already have a pc, just buy this and some extra hard drives.

If all your doing is streaming videos then not much really. With a dedicated video card the streaming maybe a little bit smoother.

the 790GX is designed as an HTPC chipset (because AMD really aims for that market segment), and so will decode 1080p just as well as most modern GPUs

Yeah the HD3200/HD3300 are the best onboard gpu solutions, can even do light gaming as well as full hd playback capabilities.
