swap out the motherboard for this one.
GA P55-US3L Gigabyte P55-US3L 1156 ATX

i don't know why that ram from amazon costs so much, but get this set instead. it's cheaper and it runs at the same speed and timings.
CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 Corsair DDR3 1600MHz 4GB kit of 2x240 pin 0DIMMs, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, XMS3 with Classic Heat Spreader - Core i7, Core i5 and Core 2

also, atleast from that site you're using, you can actually get an antec 750w modular for slightly less money than the corsair 650w, so you might as well.

regarding some of your questions:

no you won't need to buy a heatsink for the cpu, it will come with a stock one. if you're planning on OCing though, you should buy a better aftermarket heatsink.

no, you won't need any additional cables to get your build set up.

an atx case will fit both atx and m-atx boards, and yes the psu would work with an m-atx board, they use the same power connections as a standard atx board, it's just the size and layout that's different.

Both cards you're looking at are a few generations old.

Here's an updated build/list.

RAM: CMX4GX3M2A1600C9 Corsair DDR3 1600MHz 4GB kit of 2x240 pin 0DIMMs, Unbuffered, 9-9-9-24, XMS3 with Classic Heat Spreader - Core i7, Core i5 and Core 2 - £69.53
PSU: EA-750 GB Antec EA750 GB/Earth Watts 750W EPS 12V PSU with 80PLUS Certification and Universal Input (100-240VAC ) and a 135mm fan - £62.95
Case: Antec 0761345-08060-6 - £46.22
Mother Board: 4711140875965 ASRock P55M Pro Motherboard Intel Core i7/Core i5 Socket LGA1156 iP55 MicroATX RAID Gigabit LAN - £65.33
CPU: Intel BX80605I5750 - £134.56
HDD (The drive you had before was out of stock. Here's a Western Digital 500GB (1TB you will never use it all.): - £28.27
Drive (Out of stock again): - £12.33
Monitor (Get a 21.5" Acer from Lambda, cheaper and will be better on shipping costs): ET.WP5HE.001 Acer P225HQbd, 21.5" Widescreen LCD TFT, 1920x1080@60Hz, 5ms Response, 50,000:1 Contrast Ratio, 300 cd/m2 Brightness, VGA Input, DVI Input, Glossy Black, 2 Years Bring-in Warranty - £95.52

This is without the graphics card and you're already over £600.

So you're either going to need to extend your budget another £100-£150 or start looking where you're going to cut.

Best regards,
Mike

above a 4850 you could look at a 5770, above that would be a gtx 460, and above that probably a 5850.

5770: HD-577A-ZHFC XFX/ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB PCI-E 2.0 HDMI/Dual-Link DVI/DisplayPort Graphics Card - £102.44

GTX 450: GMGX460N2H70ZPB PNY GTX460 768mb 192-bit memory PCI-Express x16 graphics card , core clock speed 675MHz with 2 x DVI-I and mini-HDMI outputs - £139.59

5850: 90-C3CH41-L0UAY00T Asus EAH5850/G/2DIS/1GD5 1GB DDR5 PCI-E DVI-I*2 HDTV IN - £203.63

So it's looking like the 5770 might be what you're looking for.

Good! What GPU are you going with?

And a silly question, is VAT just like a UK tax? And it seems awfully expensive compared to U.S. tax

I think I'm going to get the 5770 if it gets back in stock. If not I'l probably get the GTX 450. And VAT stands for value added tax, which is a ******* haha
