and i was wanting to upgrade to one of the new intel core 2 duo chips however i had a few questions. my mobo was out before the core 2 duo chips where released but they have the 775 LGA socket so im wondering if it would work. also the FSB is 800 MHz right now on my current CPU and the new processor i was wanting to get has a 1066 hmz fsb. if some one could answer those questions i would appreciate it.

here is the processor im wanting to get.

It should work fine, the only thing you'd have to do is upgrade your BIOS of course. See it's sort of a tough situation, because few motherboards have the, for lack of a better term, "license" to support the new Core 2 Duo. Lots of other things come into play as well, like quad SLi support, and so on. It's hard to say, but being that it is the same socket, you shouldn't have any problems. The FSB bus concerns me though. Just upgrade the BIOS, and it should be able to detect it fine.
