yeah, as long as you have a p35 upwards chipset you should likely get 3.6 with a bit of tweaking. im lucky i bought a q6600 when i got made my rig over a year ago now, everyone said to get a e6600 xD

Dude.. a year ago the Q6600 was like $266 we were already recommending them haha

and nowadays its not so easy, q6600's lately have trouble going past 3.3ghz, without putting voltages a bit high now..
