Default Looking for Specs for a PC-based DVR Surveillance System using AMD

I have been trying to spec a PC-based DVR Surveillance System using AMD but have had some difficulty. It seems that most, if not all DVR cards available on the market today for this purpose are spec'd for Intel systems, and not for AMD.

I was hoping that somebody out there might have some experience (first hand or otherwise) in building this type of system using AMD. If so, and you could provide the system spec, the hardware details, and issues you had to overcome, and-or and issues you still have, it would be much appreciated.

The surveillance system spec would be:
- 8-16 outdoor surveillance colour-B&W (night) cameras;
- each camera @30fps @min. 480 lines, captured at a resolution of 720x480;

I've looked at ILDVR boards, Geovision boards, Avermedia,as well as a number of others. Geovision (1480) seems to offer the best alternative so far, but their recommended system is Intel, claiming they have little to no experience using an AMD based system.

Perhaps some of you have some insight, experiences, and information that you could share.

Default DVR Cards

Is there anybody that has worked with DVR cards for PC-based surveillance systems, with and AMD CPU?

Any help would be appreciated.
