Default Looking for replacement HDD for freinds computer

My friends computer hard drive died a couple of weeks ago (I built the thing for him 4 months ago -.-) and he asked me what a good one would be that is cheap. I've been out of the loop for a while so I was wondering what you guys would recommend for a low price, high quality hard drive.
