Default Looking for a hard drive. Any ideas?

Hey guys I need your help. I'm building a new rig and want to put a 2tb hard drive in it but don't need it to be velociraptor expensive. I just want a 2tb hard drive that will last me for some time and it won't die on me. I've read a ton of reviews on hard drives but a bunch of them have been dying too quick. I don't want to spend more than 200$ on a hard drive.

Any suggestions?

Hard drives are a craps shoot, like any other computer component.
I'm assuming the reviews you're reading are on Newegg, or whatever your preferred shopping site is. Just keep in mind that the people who bother to review are usually the ones who have an issue, not those for whom the drive works as intended.

If it is going to be your primary drive just make sure it is a 7200RPM drive with the largest cache (64MB).

Yeah I do suppose you have a point there. I was looking at this drive and considered for the price why not get it. If it goes bad ill buy another one.

Newegg 2tb Seagate

2 of the best and reasonably priced you can get.

Newegg.com - Seagate Barracuda ST2000DM001 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive
Newegg.com - Western Digital WD Black WD2002FAEX 2TB 7200 RPM 64MB Cache SATA 6.0Gb/s 3.5" Internal Hard Drive -Bare Drive

I have the 5900RPM version of the Seagate. Have had 2 of them for about 3 years a piece now and still running strong. Keep your drives cool and they will last a long time.

Yeah thats what I figured. If I keep proper care of them and keep them reasonably cool I should be able to make them last for quite some time. Also thanks for the feedback.
