Hey i'm looking at buying a used pc from a guy in my city and wondering if it has everything i need. I'm a every now and then gamer so looking to play games like civ 4 or maybe some newer games, and looking to be able to play mlb.tv (watching baseball games on live broadcast on internet) on this computer

It comes with an lcd monitor and whole system -keyboard/mouse.

1. Its got an AMD Athlong 64 3000+
-which as far as i know is a single core 1.8 ghz processor which i could easily upgrade to around 2.4 with the current motherboard. This seems good but not sure how up to date it is with all the dual processors out there.

2. Corsair XMS Ram 1 gigabye which seems plenty to me

3. 500 Watt power supply by Allied

4. 120 gig hard drive

5. ATI Radeon 9800 Pro 128 MB with DVI and S-Video output
-from what i know this will play with Directx 9 seems a little old but not to old, should i look to update this and what would you suggest thats not overly expensive.

6. windows xp pro with service pack 2 and office 2003

7. Samsung 17" Lcd Model 730B Panel a-si TFT /TN
don't know jack about monitors but read reviews and no major complaints.

Just making sure this would satisfy my needs cause i think it would just seeing if i might have overlooked something.

cool dunno, guy doesn't remember its been a while since he built it.

thought it was a good deal but wanted to make sure i didn't overlook something

Check and see if the software is legit to.

You could get the hardware and build a similar computer for ~600.
