I'm looking to build a new system and have put a bit of a list together tell us what you think

AMD 64 bit 3800 Venice core

Asus A8N SLI Delux

Corsiar TWINX 1 gig kit

Segate 200 gig SATA

Creative Audigy Value

Viewsonic 17" 4ms 1280*1024

500 watt PSU

DVD Burner, DVD Rom

will this setup run a GT/GTX (hopefully 2) or would it be better with a couple of ultras/Gts

what will this machine be used for?

if its gaming i would suggest the 3700+ san deigo core since it has 1mb cache

But if your going to be doing mutimedia work i would suggest an AMD x2 3800+.

I dont know if im right her but AUSU is either really good for AMD or Really Good for intel?

i've heard that ASUS boards are really buggy for 1 of the 2 processor brands, but i have forgoten.

That rig will run 1 or 2 gt/gtx(s) just fine. If you are going to OC you might want to look at a different mobo.

sorry guys i forgot to mention that I'm in Australia and can't get parts from over seas. the rig will be use for gaming as well as some other things (homework etc)

get a DFI nF4-SLi board, for nF4 ultra-D, what are some good sites that ship to austrailia? maybe if you list some i can find some better parts that you can buy

Would I be better off with an Antec 500 Watt SmartPower PSU

If you are going SLI, I recommend getting a PSU that is at least 550W. Of course, the more the better.

Antec is a good name to stick with as far as PSUs go, in case you were wondering.
