Question Looking for an appraisal of an older system

Hi there,

I was wondering if someone would mind giving me their best appraisal for an old system i am getting ready to buy off someone. I am living in Korea at the moment so most sales are second hand and from other foreigners who are leaving the country.

The specs are:
ANTEC 900 gaming case
ASUS P5Q PRO Motherboard
Gigabyte ATI Radeon 4870
Intel Core 2 Quad CPU
4GB RAM

The seller wants around $200 (no hard-drive included). I will be using the pc to play Starcraft 2 primarily and will be scrapping or re-selling when i leave as well.

Thanks for any response.

$200 isnt too shabby, id pay that for it. throw a HDD in there, install windows on it and be good to go!

Yup 200 bucks is good for that. Especially if it's a Yorkfield quad.

Nice rig for the price. If possible, test the components before buying just in case something isn't right...

Trouble with used systems is how much longer will they last? I guess you don't have much choice considering where you're at but I built a Celeron G540 system which included the CPU, mobo, 4 gig memory, PSU and a case for $200. That did not include the HDD and the DVD-RW.
