Click to expand... Basically, the X-Fi is the best card to use for surround sound in games, for headphones and speakers. It has the most powerful SPU made so far (in terms of processing power), so it can support more sounds, and with more effects. However, it doesn't have as high quality sound (in terms of distortion, and noise) as a lot of high-end cards do. A lot of that is to do with the capacitors and OpAmps Creative decided to use. Which is why I replaced the OpAmps, and the power capacitor with better ones.
