would this card XFX HD 4870 750M 1GB DDR5 DUAL DVI TV Out PCI-E Graphics Card - Ebuyer work with this

Yes, all the way around. The 4870 requires a minimum 450W power supply.

i have a 650w power supply so iam ok there but i dont have a dvi cable do you know which cable i would need for that card ?

It should come with a DVI-to-VGA adapter. If not, you could buy one to be able to use it with VGA.

iam getting the card off my friend i just wanted to make sure i could use it so it wont have an adapter with it i have looked at the adapters but there seems to be a few different ones and iam not sure which one i need

Wouldn't it just be better to get a DVI cable?

Just a little bit more money, but it would look better instead of using converter.
