LCD screens

I have a CRT monitor and was thinking of switching to a LCD in the future. I know a LCD has a slower response time. If I use my computer to play games what is the "minimum" response time I should be looking at. I have a feeling that I can't just buy the cheapest LCD I can find.

in my opinion bare minimum would be say 12ms but i would get at least 8ms and if you can go for a 4ms 4ms won't be cheap though.

I have a 8ms Samsung and you won't notice much at all coming from a decent CRT. Definitely try to go as low as you can afford.

Be sure you get one with a high contrast ratio, 600:1 or higher, and also make sure it displays a full palate of 16.7 million colors.
