what can i use to reduce or eleiminate lag? thanks also please dont suggest a new internet connection

What are you using? Dial-up? If its dial-up, then you have no hope without upgrading your connection.

iam not sure of the speed, but today my lag went up to 400 in halo.

Sometimes resetting the modem and/or router will help.

By the way, what speed is your connection supposed to be?

I would also say get a different connection, but if you live somewhere remote like me that generally isn't an option. Sometimes programs such as NetTweakPro from WyvernWorks helps optimize your computer to get the most out of your connection.

Other than that all you can really do is game specific tweaks, maybe defrag your computer, and hope for the best.

P.S. Turn off your peer sharing program that is downloading 15 porns at the same time as you trying to play!!!!
