PCI-E 2.0 is backwards compatible with PCI-E 1.0?

Just making sure before I buy the 8800GT :)

Also the 8800GT is DX10.1 correct?

personally.. it doesn't matter to me..

to some people the looks of the XFX appeals to them, and to some the reliability of eVGA and the step up program if they feel like upgrading...

eVGA offers the best policies, such as the step up programme and its warranties cover OC'ing damage.

I thought XFX has the double lifteime warrenty, and if you overclock it to far they will replace it for free.

*eats his hat*

proven wrong, I'd not known about the double lifetime warranty.

Personally i think the XfX has the better resale due to the double lifetime warranty, but some people like the eVga stepup, which turns out wont do me any good because the gt is cheaper than my gts was.

So it sounds like they are both good companies with good cards. I do not plan on stepping up, this will be my last video card pruchase for a while lol so I think i will go with XFX maybe or eVGa if its cheaper.
