Jacking up prices

Wow I am planning on building my first computer this christmas with a AMD 3200 but they have jacked up the prices on them alot and i don't really want to get anything higher than that being the first build and all but wow... $160 they used to be alot cheaper i do believe

yeah, there has been several posts on it. u could get a 3000 and overclock it

or if you don't minding waiting for a backorder, you could get an Opty and overclock it - same price range

The 939 opterons at mwave are currently in stock, and cheap.

AMD has had a run on their low-end CPUs, and supplies are currently limited.

AMD has the CPus, but they have ran out of packaging materials...

The reason the prices have went up is also because AMD has moved to the E6 revision for the lower to mid range CPUs.
