socket 478... is there any way to mod one to get it to work?? cuz if so.. that seem like a fun interesting idea

wow... i take back what i said.. there are 3 desktop motherboards that use the core duo's...... why did i not know about this before.. i would have gone core duo instead!!!

one of the mobo's is 478.. and the others are 479???? the 479 board also supports sli... very interesting

still... no 64 bit support... i shall wait for conroe...

If you really want to buy a mobile processor, Intel's "Merom" is coming out shortly, and it'll be 64-bit and dual-core.

well its not that i wanted a mobile processor... but a processor that was really good for a cheap price
