lol i wonder if they named the "harper"town after harper? but **** up to 32 cores!!!! i thought the quad core optys were something special.

so when is socket j (LGA 771) launching? it sounds like within a year.

So in order for AMD to catch up with the new Intels, they have to change to the 65nm process?

No, thats just a manufacturing process change. AMD needs to have an architectural change. That means a change in which the processor is designed to work, advanced hardware stuff.

looks like AMD got pwnd. i kinda wish Apple moved on to AMD. 2 small quality company' tagged together against intel and MS would be much fun to watch. (not so fun if i worked for apple or AMD...) but sadly apple moved on to.... iPod (!?)...
