Default Intel will drop the prices on July 22

Many of you heard that Intel will drop the prices on Q3 2007. However, the exact date will be on July 22

Intel will release Core 2 duo with 1333MHz FSB, and a new Allendale E4500

****... its getting harder and harder to decide if I should just upgrade my AMD rig with a better chip and a new GPU or just start from scratch.

This is most like a noob question but..whats the advantage in buying a CPU with 1333MHz FSB over a 1066MHz??

r u for real!?

Front Side bus is how fast data is being sent into the CPU for processing. Obviously the faster the FSB is, the faster data can be sent into the CPU, and well, I sure hope you can add two and two together..

so do the 1 gig FSB models have 2% better performance? 5%? how much does it improve performance?

I'll check Toms hardware, but I didn't think FSB made a drastic difference....

vernong1992,

E6850 is not an extreme edition

The extreme edition X6800 has unlocked multipliers, and it consumes 75 watt

E6850 will consume 65 watt, just like the other core 2 duo's
