It's a new feature in some Intel-based media center PCs that allow you to interact with certain types of hardware (tv tuners for example) and process certain pieces of information faster and better. Just another gimmick from Intel designed to think the typical user believe that their technology is somehow more useful and superior to the competition.
It's also a great example of why they are being sued by AMD. They've reached exclusive deals with hardware and software developers excluding everybody else and creating an unfair marketplace. Nothing new for Intel.
