the intel e6700 and T7200 both 64 bit right ... ?

All of the new dual desktops support 64, the C2D series of laptop do not support them as far as I know.

so 64 bit processing is not a property of a piece of hardware is a capability...?

whats the diff between the 64 and 32 bit versions of vista ultimate?

one supports 64bit programs and a crapload more of ram support.. thtas about it...

so will vista ultimate 64bit have incompatibilty problems with older programs.. software

Mostly incompatible with drivers...just get the 32bit version.

Core 2 Duo in laptops support 64 bit.

But Core Duo doesn't not support 64

^ Yep ... I had Debian AMD64 running on my C2D laptop. So yes, all C2D's are 64-bit.
