Hi, i've found a bundle for £591 for Intel i7 920 @ 4.0GHz, Gigabyte EX58-UD5 Motherboard, 6GB DDR3 1600MHz Overclocked Bundle on the AWD-IT.co.uk site.

I think im willing to spend around £1000 for the rig but i was wondering if this is a good buy (If anyone knew of any better offers) and the rest of the equipment i should purchase of which is within £1000 and would be compatible.

The worry is, im going to buy all this high tech kit and its not going to function properly.

Thinking off a nice beefy case aswell, if its within the price range.

Thank you.

That deal sounds a bit much, whenever I look at CPU+RAM+mobo for i7 it usually doesn't go above £500. Does that bundle come with a good CPU cooler? Also, how much is it overclocked to?

I mean, from Scan (my favourite UK site for doing complete builds), buying those parts separately comes to:
Scan.co.uk: BX80601920 - Intel Corei7 920 D0 SLBEJ Bloomfield 45nm, 2.66 GHz, QPI 4.8GT/s, 8MB Cache, 20x Ratio, 130W, Retail
Scan.co.uk: TR3X6G1600C9 - 6GB (3x2GB) Corsair XMS3, DDR3 PC3-12800 (1600) Non-ECC Unbuffered, CAS 9-9-9-24, 1.65V
Scan.co.uk: Gigabyte, GA-X58A-UD5, X58 Express, S1366, PCI-E (x16), DDR3 2200, USB3 SATA 6Gb/s, SATA RAID, ATX
Total: £557.47

What's the rig for, btw - gaming, I'm guessing? Keep in mind that getting that bundle leaves you with £400 for a video card, a power supply (£40 absolute minimum if you don't want Tesco-Extra-Value-Explodes-Within-A-Year-Brand), hard drive(s) and optical drive(s).
