i have oc'd my e6300 to 2.66ghz. i want to hit 3.2 or 3.4. do i need to increase the v core voltage to get those higher clock speeds. i'm using a zalman cnps 9700.

How the **** do you OC a E6300 to 3.22Ghz?

Easy...get a an overclocking motherboard...some good ram such as G.Skill...and an aftermarket cooler.

Many people have hit 3.5ghz+ with stuff similar to mine. And to stabale an OC around 3.2+ you will need at least 1.456 Vcore or so and probably an upping of your NB/SB as well as high voltage in your RAM and making sure its capable to hit it.

I have 2GB of OCZ RAM and a MSI P6N SLi motherboard...

I have a Zalman CNPS(something or another) anyway its a great cooler.

I need to increase my Voltage to overclock past 2.2Ghz? Everytime I go past that it locks up on me.

I also dont know anything about modifying RAM timings.

Although I've never seen a processor run cooler than the system...unless somethings wrong lol.
