Default Intel Celeron 4xx Performance Unveiled

Celeron 440 and 430 are based on Intel Core microarchitecture. These new Celeron models feature 2.0 GHz and 1.8 GHz clock speeds, respectively.

Here is a comparison between Celeron 440 and Athlon 64 3500+




As we can see, Celeron 440 performs very close to 3500+

Celeron 440 and 430 will be priced $59 and $49, respectively. Both processors will have 512KB L2 cache memory and both are single-core CPU

Well, for 60$, the 440 seems to be a great midrange single core chip. I have an old intel mobo lying around waiting for the right CPU to go in it for folding, and i think i found it.
