Gonna be a little hard unless you can squeeze an i5 4460 and B85 board in there. Would tell him to just save more money.

Yeah, i did link him my one, the intel core i5 4690k + the mobo... come to a little over £240

It's not that he doesn't have the money, he just doesn't want to spend much lol

Well a B85 board should be cheaper than the Z97 and balance the cost out.

Gotta love how PP tries saving you money, he's good at it.
I didn't get an i7 and 16gb of ram that wasn't needed probably cos of him.
I got over benchmarks, got rid of my fps counter and just started gaming and now I'm enjoying it without worrying about FPS and stuff.
And from what I remember about airflow, intake is from the side and front, exhaust from the top and back.
Your case, mobo and cpu are fine, just switch the gpu like PP suggested and spend the extra money on getting a nice L Shape desk or build one like suggested earlier.
I love my L Shape glass desk, so glad I went with that setup

Awesome looking pc btw, looks nice and clean, good job!

Turns out he didn't break it in the end, some guy fixed it Lol. He just bought a GTX 960 for it.. only problem is he has a 500W PSU. would that be enough for his AMD cpu + the GPU?

That enough power for his gtx 960 and his AMD chip? Don't even think it has a 8 pin connector on it..

*EDIT* just found this.

would this be a better psu for him to get? http://www.ebuyer.com/716703-evga-60...100-w1-0600-k3

Yes it would. His PSU in theory should be fine, but it's a budget range POS honestly. The eVGA would be way better.
