yes, which begs the question, why does AMD say it's so easy to upgrade, when AM2+ isn't even fully phenom accessible, and then AM3 will be...and phenom's don't even work on most AM2 motherboards, I say hog wash, Intel been using LGA775 for a couple of years now.

Partly the reason, and the FSB speed, but this way I can use the Q6600 for my server. Might as well use my board to its full potential.

These are amazing processors. I have already seen 4.5ghz from a E8500 on the intel stock cooler!!!

These processors are all such amazing overclockers that now they will be FSB limited by the motherboard We need higher multipliers for cheap!

(not to mention they are 8-10% faster clock vs clock than the 65nm Core 2s in gaming, even more so in some other applications)

In the future I see a lot of e8500 or q9300 threads like we have e6850 or q6600 threads
