Installing OS on a new built System

hi guys, im planning on building my own computer and stuff... it will all work fine but i have one question. Once i've put everything together correctly and turn the power on.. how do i install the OS? is there any pre-software on the motherboard or CPU?

Once you've turned it on, the first step will be to open the DVD drive, and put the OS disc in, whether that be Windows or Linux.
If it doesn't load up the disc, you'll need to go into the BIOS (it'll say 'F12 for Setup' or something along those lines), and change the boot order to boot from CD/DVD first.

umm i have a question.. where does the pre-software stuff... the BIOS come from? is it on the motherboard, CPU?? just wondering.. anywayz thanks

The BIOS is already pre-installed on the motherboard, on its own separate chip.
