can some please tell with is better

Q9450 - Power and Temperature
Overclocked to 3.6GHz, needing 1.1375V
Using an average current of 60A.
Around 50-51 degrees Celsius

Q6600 - Power and Temperature
Overclocked to 3.6GHz, needing 1.2000V
Using an average current of 109A.
Around 60-62 degrees Celsius.

What motherboard will you be using? Because of its low multiplier the q9450 is only good if you have a motherboard capable of the high fsb's needed to overclock it.

Also cpu's do not always overclock the same so just because one person was able to reach a speed with a particular voltage and temps does not mean you will be able to.

yeah every chip is different to an extent, the q6600 is better if ur using a p35 chipset or older, but if your using a x48/38 or p45 you might still be able to get a decent o/c, but imo q6600 is still better for the price, and youll be bale to o/c it further and about the same performance.

well u could prob get a good overclock then. since the 9450 uses a 8x multi.

you would need a 400MHz fsb (1600 effective) to get 3.2Ghz i don't think you would even reach that. while you could probably get a q6600 to say, 3.6 maybe 3.4 which a decent cooler. and prob give you same or better results

Congrats

.. and yes Q6600 is still much better, unless you are a green junkie.
