Question I'm a little confused!

This is the system: Evga 680i, 4 gigs of OCZ repeaper, Qx9450 @ 3.2 Ghz, Koolance Exos water cooled CPU only.

add two 8800GT's oc'd to 650/800: 3DMark06 = 18780.
add two 9800GTX+ oc'd to 800/925 3DNark06 = 17650.

I got both 9800gtx+ cards for $255 and thought they would blow the 8800gt's out of the water.............................what the heck is going on????

Well, someone is going to have to ask it so it might as well as be me....are you sure they are running in SLI? Did you double check in NVIDIA control panel?

Did you remove the old drivers before installing the new ones?

Yes...SLi. And I did clean the registry.

Power problems?

Running other stuff in the background?

Virus?

Your overclock on the 9800gtx's might be too high and causing instability...

Have you got vista? Can you try Vantage?

IMO 3Dmark06 is not a good measure to go by. My GTX285 on 3dmark06 clears around 15K, yet it would beat those 2 8800GTs in any other game with ease.

Do you get more fps in games? Do you get any artifacts?
