skulltrail is dual cpu for xeons. x48 supports both ddr2 and ddr3 and is just cherry picked high binned x38 boards. Honestly you are wasting money getting a qx6800, since it only overclocks maybe 100mhz more than a GOOD q6600 like mine.

i've seen some 4.2ghz x6800's which isnt very bad at all

i dunno, if you like being extreme.. and less hastle to oc, go for it

im definitely not upgrading my cpu for a LONG time.. cpus lifetime last a very long time in the gaming world. Im more concerned about keeping my gpu upgraded more.

Why are you upgrading already?

I mean you got a 8800gts and q6600 what cant you play? If i were you i would put ur money in the bank and wait until you actually need to upgrade. But if your rich, or just really badly want to upgrade now.. go ahead.
