I see you're very determined to do this so for a start, the 3-4 GTX 690s you want won't be in stock for awhile. You'll find Blackbeard's lost treasure before you get those 690s in stock. That'll cost you $3000-$4000 depending on how many cards you buy and what brand. Some brands come with better cooling or factory overclocks.

Here's the latest i7 Newegg.com - Intel Core i7-3960X Extreme Edition Sandy Bridge-E 3.3GHz (3.9GHz Turbo) LGA 2011 130W Six-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73960X

That'll cost you $1,030.

So we're looking at about $4000-$5000 for just the CPU and that ridiculous GTX 690 setup.

And we're only maybe 1/10th done with the build..
oh boy.

DAT WALLET.

From what i understand from PP's post, you cant use more than 2 690's, so it will be a bit cheaper than that.

But your point still stands.

Ah yes, sorry, I forgot a single 690 is two gpus technically. So 2 690s, comes out roughly with the $1,030 cpu at a bit higher than $3,000.

Your doing it all wrong icey, you need to get him to split up 3000.00 and send us a little chunk of it.
I'm sure each of would put the money to real good use, mainly me for business and education needs.
