Default I'm finally ready to build my first machine... Little help?

I was going to buy a machine from Ibuypower.com, but I really did want to build my own, so here it is

$352.96 === Athlon 64 X2 3800+
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819103562

$128.00 === DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16813136152

$216.00 === CORSAIR ValueSelect 2GB (2 x 1GB) 184-Pin
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16820145579

$134.99 === eVGA GeForce 6600 GT 128MB DDR PCI-E
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...351110&CatId=0

$69.99 === seagate 250GB 7200RPM 8MB Buffer Hard Drive
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applicati...8&sku=THD-250A

$89.00 === OCZ 520w Modstream PSU
http://www.monarchcomputer.com/Merch...FFIL=pricewatc

$30.00 === Cd/DVD Optical Drive (depends on case)

$17.25 === KEYBOARD/Mouse/Speakers (I'll get better ones later)

Total: $1,038

I need help on a few things. I'm looking for a case that looks good, but is also good for beginners. I have no idea how to place a motherboard, fans, or PSU inside a case >.<...

Also, I'm looking for a good cooling system (maybe liquid) I really do want to overclock the CPU to at least 2.4 Ghz(but I'm worried about the other parts as well)

Thanks a lot for the help

LOL you have no idea to put a mobo in a case, and your asking about water cooling, thats pretty funny eh. anyways your build looks good. pretty cheap for the price. why dont you upgrade the vidoe card to a 6800GT

Yea, it's sad >.< I'm a software person. I want to save money on the video card, I don't need insane frame rates.

Motherboard should drop right into place really. The screw holes will line up when you move it around on the mounting plate. Just make sure the processor end of the board is up by the PSU.

Fans are simple to mount, because the case gives you mounting locations. You can't miss them. Make sure they're facing the right way when you mount them!

The PSU will only screw in one way. You'll know what's right when you get that thing up in the top-back of the case.

I like this beginner case. Later, if you want to add front USB ports, you can get one of the little inserts that fills up a 3.5" floppy slot! I got one for my lady friend. But, here's the case link.

Good luck, and if you have any more questions, post up.

Ryan

on edit: there are front USB ports, so don't sweat it.

Thanks FghtinIrshNvrDi, that helps. I'm looking for a case with a transparent side panel though. I'm thinking about adding neon lights inside.

Also, which fans should I buy? I'm not sure what needs a fan and what doesn't. Hmm, and don't I need a heatsink? Bah... so many questions >.<

Go to newegg and pick yourself a case that you want, and I'll help you pick fans, if needed.
