I'm building a new system between now and January - advice?

it says i need 917 watts....here is what my system will likely be in the coming years

8800gts 320mb overclocked
q6600 @ 3.6 ghz, 1.3volts( it will be a q9300 but i wanted an estimate)
9 case fans
dvd rw drive
fan controller
2 sata HDD
soundblaster card
90% cpu utilization
2 cathodes

You can't use all 4gigs of RAM with xp32.. Vista is a fine OS, most of the stuff about it is BS being spread by people that haven't even used it who bloat its problems.. The extra resources it uses are not much higher compared to XP, it only seems like that cause it caches what you might do in advance and thus using a lot of RAM but when you actually need that RAM, it makes room. Not like you're gonna have a shortage of RAM with 4gigs anyway

And waiting 4 years for the next windows is laughable... that would be like you still using 98 when Vista came out except 1 gen forward.

+ I'm sure DX10 will not come to XP officially.. only way is if someone hacks it in but that would be very buggy, very slow and not to mention illegal.

Vista is slower. I'll upgrade in the future if I want to. I can use 3gb, which is fine.

Also, should I bother building now or just wait?
