an e6600 I have the money to buy a q6800 but I don't need it even an e6600 is more then my needs

2nd place would be the qx6800 because its harder to get ur hands on, plus it is not as worth it because for 100$ less u can get the qx6700 and oc it to 2.93 ghz and still have the unlocked multipier

3rd : intel core 2 extreme x6800
4th: intel core 2 quad q6600

If money wasn't a part of the equation most people would take the most expensive chip.

A better question would be, "If money wasn't an object, what components would you use to build an insane PC."

i would build my self a budget quad core build for aboout 1200-1500$ and spend the money on somethin else. like a motarcycle or a car.or convert my basement into a gym, or probably pay my tuition. lol
