It's not free. That exact card without any combo costs $269 after mail-in rebate. That card costs $359. So basically, he's paying $90 for a $129 motherboard. With that in mind, I'd definetly get the $269 7800GT and a MSI K8N Neo4-F or a DFI LanParty. Here's a link to the video card for your convenience:

Geez... Everyone is throwing out stuff that doesn't even matter to him. DFI does make strong, quality boards, yes. But on the flipside, he can save 50 bucks by going with an MSI K8N Neo4-F
