Default i7 over current wish list????

As you may all know I have been attempting to get a new build. I will coming into some money in June and was wondering if there was a way better i7 build for around the same price as the build I have below? I know this probably gets old but is the build I currently don't own below better then the cheapest i7 build? Thank you.

Expect to add at least another $300 in total over your 'currently not owned' build, if you want to go i7. Probably more.

Newegg.com - Computer Parts, PC Components, Laptop Computers, Digital Cameras and more!
Newegg.com - ASUS P6T LGA 1366 Intel X58 ATX Intel Motherboard - Intel Motherboards
Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-750TX 750W ATX12V / EPS12V SLI Ready CrossFire Ready 80 PLUS Certified Active PFC Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply - Power Supplies
Newegg.com - SAPPHIRE 100259-1GL Radeon HD 4870 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready CrossFire Supported Video Card - Desktop Graphics / Video Cards

$927 is about as cheap as I would go for an i7 with the vid card you wanted but the 1gb version.
It is getting close to $900 to get into an i7

If possible it is real nice to go with 6gb of RAM.
Report: 3GB vs 6GB RAM on Core i7 Benched - Tom's Hardware

sorry I did not put an hd in the one I did above but i was going off your list and thought you had one to reuse.

Do you need 3 way sli?
for a cheaper better board I would look at this one.

Maybe an HD 4770? Its still a solid GPU, and you do get a good FPS boost in some games from Core i7 that would probably make up for the slight performance difference at lower resolutions (like below 1680x1050)

I already own the 750tx.. Ill post modified i7 build tomorrow. Power is out in 15 min until 5am. I don't need to Tri Sli. regular sli would be fine if I ever decided to do that. I debating on whether or not to go i7. What are the advantages of it over my current wishlist. (See below add the HDD from above.)

+1 hefe, vernon and phil. No bueno ASRock and grab a 4770.

The advantages are pretty cut and dry. Faster processor, four cores plus hyperthreading, and more memory bandwidth.
