If i want to overclock the core i7 920 2.66GHz to 3.2GHz, will or should I get an aftermarket cooler?
Also I'm new to overclocking, and I was wondering can i just take the BIOS settings of someone who has overclocked their 920 to 3.2GHz and apply them to my own BIOS, or is that risking anything?

It's always a good idea to get an aftermarket cooler. But 3.2 is probably doable on the stock cooler. I'm running 3.2 on water right now with temps ranging from 26-34 degrees. I havent pushed it to 100% to see what it loads at yet. As for bios settings, each chip and each board is going to vary a bit.

well as always the intel stock heatsinks suck. i'm not very familiar with lga 1336 heatsinks but i know there are a couple of good ones out.
