I was just looking around on eBay and I found an i5 2500k redline extreme. Is that a legitimate product?

I can tell you by looking at that name it is a lie.
Is this legit? "Intel Redline Core i5" [Archive] - AnandTech Forums
If intel didn't make it themselves, you don't buy it.

Newegg.com - Intel Core i5-2500K Sandy Bridge 3.3GHz (3.7GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 1155 95W Quad-Core Desktop Processor Intel HD Graphics 3000 BX80623I52500K
76.00 dollar reduction off of that knock cpu, if you want to OC'd we have some good members who will do that.

If you want a build give us a price and reason of what you'll be using the pc for mainly, and we'll see what we can do for you.

What it really is, is a guy ewho goes out anbd buys certain production runs of cpus, then tests them for minimum overclocking speed and temperature.

He then resales them. So is this a scam?? no its not. But is it ereally worth twice the price... not to 90% of users.

So don't waste your money.

That's what I thought, thanks for your help!
I wanted a build for 800$ without a monitor or OS that would be good for overclocking.
