Default I need a Gaming computer for 1k, Can it be done?

Hello tax time is around the corner and I am looking to replace this outdated computer ><. I need help building my new computer. I have 1,000 USD to spend. The games I play are WoW, Battlefield 2, Battlefield 2142, and Counter Strike.

Here is my Old computer:

AMD 3200+

Geforce FX 5200

1GB of Ram

some crapy case!

This computer can play WoW at the LOWEST settings with about 20 FPS...not to happy about it. It barely plays BF:2 at the LOWEST settings. Counter-Strike plays fine....until someone throws a smoke.........60 FPS goes to 20-30 FPS...and when 2 smokes are thrown...i dont even want to go there.

I need help on my new computer because i dont know where to start. I heard Intel is better then amd now. Basically I just want to play the games I said with very good FPS. Question is..Can it be done with 1,000USD or less?

Things that I dont need:

Keyboard
Mouse/Mousepad
Speakers/headphones
Soundcard
Monitor(17" CRT for the loss...)

Please help me with this build!

Ps: If you guys can make it own my cousins computer I would LOVE that!

AMD X2 3800+
GeForce 7600GS or GT idk
2 GB ram

I would, im sure that you can scrape up $50 or so somehow.

I would've said to save up and try to get one of the newer 8800 because everyone will have to switch to DX10 very very soon. So now isn't the best time to build a PC. Unless you have the money for a $500 graphics card I would really consider saving.

OK, I re-edited the list and now it comes to $973.93, without shipping. I changed to a cheaper motherboard, ram, and hard drive. The hard drive is only 80GB.
