Well the point you are trying to make is correct, but that statement isn't quite true. You've forgotten about PSU efficiency. Currently, most high quality PSUs are about 85% efficient at best...which means 400 watts would really use 460w of power
well for one thing, i just found out that ATI says the RV670 GPU consumes 75w. So times 75w by three n u get 300w used + other components.

what makes u think 520w can handle 2 HD 3870 x2 in Crossfire, aka 4 GPUs?

EDIT:

geez u guys r so confusing........."get this, get that" plz let's just come to a final agreement on which PSU is best suited for me, ok?

ok how many say i should get HIPER 630w?

Newegg.com - HIPER HPU-4M630 ATX12V v2.2 & EPS12V v2.91 630W Power Supply 100 - 240 V cUL, CE, CB, TUV, FCC - Retail

how many say i should get Corsair 520w?

Newegg.com - CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX ATX12V v2.2 and EPS12V 2.91 520W Power Supply 100 - 240 V UL, CUL, CE, CB, FCC Class B, TUV, CCC, C-tick - Retail

how many say i should get Xclio 700w?

Newegg.com - XCLIO GREATPOWER X14S4P4 700W ATX12V 700W Power Supply 100 - 240V / 200 -240V UL, CUL, TUV, CB, VDE, FIMKO, DEMKO, NEMKO, SEMKO - Retail

how many say i should get OCZ 600w?

Newegg.com - OCZ GameXStream OCZ600GXSSLI ATX12V 600W Power Supply 100 - 240 V CB/CE/CSA/UL/FCC - Retail

EDIT 2: im going to bed............Zzz

Well TBH if it was me I'd go the extra stretch and get the Corsair HX620W.

The Xclio does look good, but I have also seen a Corsair HX520W powering a Q6600 B3 and 2 2900XT's in crossfire.....

Definately go with that. I dont like OCZ or Xclio, and the PCP&C610 worked really well for me until my pc got retarted and stopped POSTing.

18 amps per rail is more than you need. Don't forget OCZ owns PC power and cooling

PC Perspective - XClio GreatPower 750W Power Supply Review

The XClio you picked out is actually very good.

The XClio I was looking at when I built was terrible at Ripple tests. I guess it was a different line.

XClio GreatPowers follow the same construction as Tt's Toughpower series, I believe.

So yeah.. they're decent, I guess...

Actually they are the same as Antec. Same OEM only great powers though. Good power is garbage. Grab an Enermax liberty.

i'm not sure that works both ways, cuz then a 60% efficiancy 400 watt could actually be 700 watt

just get the xclio
and for the record the Corsair 520hx has more amps then 610 silencer
