i got $1500 build me a pc

Ok so i got $1500 cold hard cash in my hand waiting to be spent. I dont overclock,dont run SLI or xfire, but i am hardcore gamer. FEAR,BF2142 , MMORPG's and so on.

The only parts i need are CPU , motherboard,video card and ram. I have a couple 200gb HD and a 150gb raptor. I've read thru tom's hardware and my eyes hurt. just too much info to take in at one time. so remember 4 parts and $1500

each new product is beginning to really pull away from the previous, often doubling that of the last generation/step down. When you're budget is that high...the options are quite obvious!

isnt the p965 chipset better and going to stick around longer? despite the lower number

so what makes that MB better than this one ,beside chipset,which i've heard is on the rise over the 975.

badkitty- if you can stretch your budget a little bet then get 8800GTS

The 8800GTS is far better than X1900XTX

Also, the new 8800GTS uses NVIDIA Quantum Effects Technology which allows the GPU to do physics calculations

So, if you buy 8800GTS, then there is no need for physics card

only problem is i went to tom's hardware and they did benchmarks

http://www.tomshardware.com/2006/11/08/geforce_8800/page6.html the nclick to next page. the games i play...the XTX beat the 8800gts. thats why i went with it. BLAH BLAH on tech specs......raw FPS benchmarks on games i play alot, convince me more. and where the x1950 didnt get more FPS...its only by sligh amounts like 5-10fps...not enuff difference for me to pay $200 more. i got my card for $200 on ebay barely used and i did a bunch or OC tests and it works flawless.

the card sound extreme, but i dont know. will have to see more games Benched to make decision.

Also, don't forget that 8800GTS will be much better for future games.
