Default HTPC/Gaming PC

Looking for ideas on a intermediate gaming / HTPC machine.

Just looking to play TF2, Company of Heroes, CS Source on high res 1650x1080 (whatever the res is) and use it as a HTPC.

Any suggestions for a good build for that? Looking for it to be quiet too and under $600 possibly.

Thanks!

You haven't gotten any replies/responses yet, so I will ask you what I have found to be the typical questions these super technicians ask on this site that you have not included:

Do you have or need any OS, mouse, keyboard, etc?

Are you building this to last for a while or just for right now?

Are you partial to intel or AMD processors, Ati or Nvidia video cards.

This way they don't waste there time - I am just following along for the past few months to learn- so I thought I could actually help a little this time.

Also $600 is not much to work with to get the "latest and greatest" - can you use anything on the system that your currently using and just do an upgrade?

Dont need mouse, keyboard, monitor etc. $600 - $700 goes towards just the PC.

Need a video card that has a TV Tuner, and that'll play some games? If that's possible.

Dont have any preference on brands.

I'd like to build this from scratch.

Are you planning on dealing with capturing in HD on the PC? If so then that makes a significant difference in the hardware you'd need.

Scratch that I'm just going to use it for media. No TV tuner needed.
