I recently built my new computer. I'm trying to update the motherboard bios and I wanted to make sure I was doing it right.
SPECS:
ABIT AN8-ULTRA Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard
AMD Athlon 64 3700+ San Diego 1GHz FSB 1MB L2 Cache Socket 939 Processor
SAPPHIRE Radeon X850XT 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card
2 x 1Gb OCZ High Performance DDR 400 PC3200 Dual Channel Kit
ATRIX PSCI-500BLK ATX12V 500W Power Supply 115/230 V UL, CE, CB, FCC
Seagate ATA 80GB Hard Drive
I went to ABIT website (http://abit-usa.com/downloads/bioshelp.php) and downloaded the an820biosdriver.zip. I then created a bootable floppy disk and extracted these files from the zip file: ABITFAE.BAT, AN8_20.BIN, awdflash.exe, and RUNME.BAT. Is that all the files necessary?
Now I'm confused, after I boot my PC from the floppy disk. I'm not sure what to type. I tried entering what it says from the website but no luck. What do I do now and the rest of the way till I have to clear the CMOS data? Thanks, Tyler
